Master of Primary Teaching
In the Master of Teaching, you’ll gain the skills to confidently teach across the full Australian Curriculum, covering literacy, numeracy, science, arts, health, humanities and more.
Master of Secondary Teaching
In the Master of Secondary Teaching, you’ll focus specifically on your discipline(s), along with units in ICT, student wellbeing, and assessment strategies.
UC offers a supportive and personalised admissions experience. We're here to guide you through the process and help you find the teaching pathway that’s right for you. Entrants to graduate entry programs must have a discipline-specific bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification relevant to the Australian Curriculum or other recognised areas of schooling provision. For full entry requirements, please visit the course page for your preferred specialisation.
For domestic students, the fees for the Master of Teaching are based on a standard full-time load of 24 credit points per year. If you’re offered a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), you’ll pay a Student Contribution Amount instead of full tuition fees. You don’t need to apply separately for a CSP as your eligibility will be assessed automatically when you apply for the Master of Teaching. Fees are reviewed annually and may change.
From your first semester, you’ll gain hands-on experience in real classrooms through supervised placements in ACT schools. Across the course, you’ll complete 60 days of placement, allowing you to apply what you’re learning while building confidence and practical skills.
UC’s Master of Teaching is fully accredited by the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI), ensuring your qualification is recognised across Australia. You’ll graduate classroom-ready, with the knowledge and experience required to register as a teacher and begin a rewarding career in Primary or Secondary education.
Choose the study methods that suit you. UC offers three different study methods to ensure you can balance your work, lifestyle and study, all on your terms.
UC’s education degrees can be completed in one of three study modes:
