Learning outcomes
After successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Identify the skills, capabilities and knowledge necessary to meet the work standards expected by the arts sector and related industries in the workplace;
2. Synthesise career planning and industry knowledge to map out personal academic and professional goals;

Students must apply academic integrity in their learning and research activities at UC. This includes submitting authentic and original work for assessments and properly acknowledging any sources used.
Academic integrity involves the ethical, honest and responsible use, creation and sharing of information. It is critical to the quality of higher education. Our academic integrity values are honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility and courage.
UC students have to complete the annually to learn about academic integrity and to understand the consequences of academic integrity breaches (or academic misconduct).
UC uses various strategies and systems, including detection software, to identify potential breaches of academic integrity. Suspected breaches may be investigated, and action can be taken when misconduct is found to have occurred.

Participation requirements
There is a significant link between student participation and the quality of learning outcomes (and marks) demonstrated in submitted assignments. Students are expected to attend or view the lectures, and to attend and actively participate in the tutorials to achieve the learning outcomes of this unit.
Students should be conscious that the e-portfolio assignment includes submission of materials that will be completed in class.
Students are expected to regularly check the Canvas site and their university email for new information, readings and pre-tutorial activities relevant to the unit.
Required IT skills
Use of standard word processing, online research and self-assessment tools, generative AI and the university's Mahara e-portfolio platform will be required to complete the assessment tasks in this unit.
Students may be expected to participate in some online activities using platforms such as Virtual Room (Blackboard Collaborate) or MS Teams.
